Mathys Farm - Burgdorf
Point of interest
Mathys Farm was built in 1715 as a "Stadthof" (a monastery-owned property in a town where, for example, the monastery's produce would be sold). It served as a school for poor children in the mid-19th century and is now a protected historic monument. It has been the property of the Mathys family since 1928.
As well as fruit-growing and arable farming, the farm is mainly used for dairy farming. The Mathys family owns more than 20 cows and numerous other animals. They also offer entertainment and accommodation for tourists, such as sleeping on straw, bed & breakfast, group catering and donkey rides.
For more information about the offer of the Mathys family please visit the website of the farm Bättwil.
